Alka Bhandari

Alka Bhandari is a Consultant and Project Manager at Zaviant. Prior to this, they worked as a Scrum Master at Taksh Software Services from September 2020 to August 2021. In this role, they facilitated Scrum ceremonies like Sprint planning, Jira board, Daily Stand-ups, Backlog refinement, and sprint reviews and helped the team commit to sprint goals by breaking all stories into tasks. Alka also worked with the product owner for the backlog grooming, managing and prioritizing PBIs, and coordinating and collaborating with scrum teams to help identify and track user story dependencies.

During their time at Taksh Software Services, Alka was successful in inculcating a scrum culture in the team, empowering them to self-organize, and resolving impediments within the teams which increased sprint velocity. Alka also worked with business stakeholders to implement a cross-functional team structure with varied skills for easy communication and interaction. Furthermore, they maintained and published relevant metrics like Sprint Planning report, Sprint burndown charts, Iteration Cumulative charts, and Velocity charts that helped the team see how they are performing.

Alka has also been responsible for facilitating demos to stakeholders to validate development progress as well as liaising between developers and project stakeholders; fostering quality communication between engineering disciplines.
