Capt. Maksym Kunchev

Capt. Maksym Kunchev currently serves as Marine Superintendent, HSEQ Manager, and Deputy DPA/CSO at ZEABORN Ship Management since October 2022, overseeing a fleet of 17 vessels and managing HSEQ for a superyacht. Prior experience includes tenure at Sea Machines Robotics as Test Captain of an autonomous vessel, where responsibilities encompassed operational management, testing, and project oversight, and as Marine Safety Consultant at SeaTec, focusing on onboard training and risk assessments. Capt. Kunchev also held positions as Oceangoing Master and Chief Officer at various companies, including Nova Marine Carriers SA and V.Group, emphasizing vessel and crew management, safety improvements, and operational oversight. Education was completed at Odesa National Maritime Academy, earning a Specialist degree in navigation.
