Sam Goodwin has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. They started their career as a Mechanic at Mercedes-Benz of Edinburgh in 2008 before moving to Vauxhall Motors Ltd in 2011 and WEESWEEP LIMITED in 2013, where they also worked as a Mechanic. In 2014, they worked as a Bartender at The Original Rosslyn Hotel.

In 2015, Sam worked at three different companies. They were a Food and Beverage Specialist at Melville Castle, a Duty Manager at Dalhousie Castle Hotel & SPA, and a meeting and events coordinator at Crowne Plaza - Edinburgh Royal Terrace until 2019.

In 2020, they joined ExecSpace as a Venue Consultant and in 2021, they worked as an MST Consultant at People's Energy. In the same year, they joined Zeelo and held the positions of Customer Care Specialist and currently, Customer Success Specialist.

Sam Goodwin attended Edinburgh College from 2008 to 2010, where they obtained a Master's degree in Automobile/Automotive Mechanics Technology/Technician. Prior to that, from 2003 to 2008, Sam attended Lasswade High School and obtained 8 GCSEs.
