Doug Fearing

Doug Fearing has had a long and successful career in the sports analytics and operations management fields. Doug began their career in 1999 as a Software Developer and Manager of Software Development at Trilogy. In 2010, they moved on to become a Senior Advisor of Baseball Research and Development at the Tampa Bay Rays and an Assistant Professor of Technology and Operations Management at Harvard Business School. In 2013, they became an Assistant Professor of Operations Management at The University of Texas at Austin. In 2015, they founded the Baseball Research and Development team at the Los Angeles Dodgers and served as its Director for four years. Most recently, in 2019, they became the Co-Founder and CEO of Zelus Analytics, an internationally-distributed, fully-remote sports analytics company.

Doug Fearing received their B.S. with University and Department Honors in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University between 1995 and 1999. Doug then went on to earn their Ph.D. in Operations Research from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology between 2005 and 2010.
