Sergio Llana Pérez has a diverse work experience, beginning with an internship at Accenture Analytics in 2016. Sergio then worked as a Software Engineer (Project Associate) at CERN, where they created a pipeline to collect data from different large compute systems and processed the data with Apache Spark. From 2017 to 2021, they were a Research Assistant at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, where they created a telemetry system for micro data centers managed by Openstack. In 2018, they joined FC Barcelona as Head of Sports Analytics and a Data Scientist in the Sports Analytics department, where they worked on data modelling and visualization of football data. Currently, they are the Director of the Postgraduate Course in Sports Analytics at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, and they are also a Data Scientist at Zelus Analytics.
