Besufikad Teshome

Besufikad Teshome has extensive experience in the field of cybersecurity. Besufikad began their career in 2015 as a Cyber Security Engineer at Information Network Security Administration, where they conducted security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing. Besufikad also provided security training to employees and responded to security breaches and incidents. In 2018, they took on the role of Application Security Auditor, conducting web application penetration testing and database hardening compliance checks for various customers. From 2021 to 2023, Besufikad worked as a Mobile Application Security Audit Team Leader at the same company, conducting android application penetration testing and mentoring team members. Currently, they are the Principal Cybersecurity Officer at Zemen Bank S.C. Besufikad'sresponsibilities in this role include ensuring the security of the bank's systems and providing guidance on cybersecurity matters.

Besufikad Teshome completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Arbaminch University between 2012 and 2015. Currently, they are pursuing a Master of Science (MS) degree in Cybersecurity with a specialization in Network and System Security at Addis Ababa University, starting in 2021.

Besufikad has also obtained several certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge in the field. In October 2022, they achieved the Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certification from EC-Council. In September 2017, they acquired a certification in Mobile Application Penetration Testing from Koenig Solutions Pvt. Ltd. Additionally, they hold a certification in CCNA routing and switching from ITSC, Addis Ababa. Although the exact obtaining month and year for the CCNA certification is not specified, Besufikad possesses the qualification. Moreover, Besufikad is certified in Cybersecurity (CC) by (ISC)², although the obtaining month and year are not provided.
