Weiyi Liu

Weiyi Liu currently serves as Associate Director of Biologics Upstream Development & MFG at Zenas BioPharma, with experience in cell line development, master cell bank banking, characterization, cell culture process development, and clinical manufacturing since August 2021. Previously, Weiyi Liu held the position of Sr. Scientist and Vector Production Lead in Global Gene Therapy at Takeda, focusing on rAAV vector production and engineering from October 2017 to August 2021. Earlier roles included Sr. Scientist in protein production and cell line development at Takeda, Scientist in biologics development at Bristol Myers Squibb, and Postdoc Fellow at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies. Weiyi Liu completed a PhD in Cell & Molecular Biology at Purdue University, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at the same institution.
