Vinay P.

Vinay P. is an experienced security professional currently serving as the SVP and Chief Trust & Security Officer at Zendesk since 2023, in addition to being a Faculty Member at IANS. Vinay holds a position as a Villager at Team8, contributing to a global community focused on cyber security innovation. Previously, Vinay was the Chief Information Security Officer and Senior Vice President at Finastra, where an intelligence-led security strategy was developed, and a crisis response was successfully managed during a cyberattack. As Chairman of the Global Enterprise Advisory Board for the Cloud Security Alliance from 2016 to 2021, Vinay represented the perspectives of large IT end users on cloud computing security issues. Vinay's earlier tenure at Citi as Managing Director and CISO involved overseeing global information security efforts across 14 countries. With a background in security solutions architecture at Raytheon, Vinay has a strong educational foundation, holding an MBA from New Jersey Institute of Technology and a BS in Computer Engineering from the University of Florida, along with further education from Columbia Business School.
