Vasilis Papageorgiou

Vasilis Papageorgiou is an experienced software developer and engineer with a diverse work background. Vasilis is currently working as a Lead Developer at Zenergi, a position they began in August 2022. Prior to this role, Papageorgiou worked at Multos International from 2015 to 2022 as an R&D Software Developer in the smart card industry, focusing on improving security and developing Certification Authority products.

Before their time at Multos International, Papageorgiou held various roles at Covidien (Medtronic Minimally Invasive Therapies Group) from 2013 to 2015. Vasilis worked as an Application Analyst from January to March 2015 and as a Systems Analyst/Senior Software Engineer from January 2013 to December 2014. During this time, they developed web services, optimized SQL tables and queries, and manipulated statistical data.

From 2006 to 2012, Papageorgiou worked at NewVoiceMedia Ltd, first as a Software Engineer from June 2006 to May 2009 and then as a Senior Software Engineer from May 2009 to November 2012. In these roles, they developed features on a cloud-based Call Centre platform and maintained legacy code using programming languages such as C#.

Papageorgiou's earlier work includes a role at Computer Solutions Ltd from 2004 to 2006, where they served as a Platform Architect and Network Administrator, handling network setups, software and hardware troubleshooting, and pre-sales and after-sales support. Vasilis earned their BSc in Software Engineering from The Manchester Metropolitan University from 1997 to 2001. Before their undergraduate studies, they completed a foundation year in 1993 at The University of Manchester.
