Naoko Toyama has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Naoko started their career in 2011 as a Student Adviser at Kaplan Test Prep. From 2011 to 2014, they worked at Sprachcaffe/GEOS Languages Plus, initially as an Activities Coordinator and later as a Senior Registrar. In 2015, they joined BLI · Language Schools In Canada as a Marketing and Business Development Specialist and worked there until 2017.

In 2019, Naoko joined Aspen Technology as a Senior Business Development Representative at Mnubo, a company acquired by Aspen Technology. Their role involved identifying, researching, and evaluating attractive companies based on customer criteria and targeted industries. Naoko also attended trade shows and pitch events, used sales tools to identify decision makers, and nurtured prospects to qualify sales opportunities. Naoko additionally evangelized prospects on the company's technology value and identified customer needs and business opportunities.

In 2021, they transitioned to AppDirect as a Sales Development Representative. Naoko executed growth plans with assigned customers, expanded consumption of existing offerings, and generated demand for new offerings. Naoko also developed industry and product expertise to advocate best practices.

Currently, Naoko works as a Customer Success Manager at Zenhub, starting in February 2023.

Naoko Toyama obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Linguistics and Psychology from McGill University, where they studied from 2006 to 2010. In addition to their bachelor's degree, they also hold certifications as a Registered Scrum Master™ from Agile Education by Scrum Inc.™ and has completed the WSET Level 2 Award in Wines and Spirits as well as the WSET Level 3 Award in Wines from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust.
