Daniel Åsljung is a researcher and PhD student at Zenseact, focusing on methods for safety validation of Automated Driving Systems since September 2020. Previously, Daniel held the position of Industrial PhD Student at ZENUITY from April 2017 to September 2020, and also at Volvo Car Group from September 2014 to April 2017. Daniel co-founded Pine Innovation in June 2013 and worked as an IT consultant as a sole proprietor in 2012. An early career included a research assistant role at Chalmers University of Technology in 2011, contributing to research on Open Innovation and Patents. Daniel's education includes a PhD and Licentiate degree in Electrical Engineering, as well as a Master of Science in Entrepreneurship and Business Design, and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and Management, all from Chalmers University of Technology.
