JOB SUMMARY: 

Responsible for the strategy, planning and execution of commercial assessments of pipeline assets. Assist to develop and implement the North American and EU market-based plans to launch and manage a novel product line in support of the division's overall strategy and goals. Uses knowledge and data-driven analysis of market needs, trends, and opportunities to create market segment-based strategies and tactics that translate into commercial success. This role also provides support to Business Development and Corporate Strategy initiatives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Proactively identify and pursue opportunities for providing commercial input to improve strategy and decision making.

  • Conduct primary and secondary research to assess the commercial attractiveness of new preclinical product opportunities including market sizing, target product profile development, and competitive assessment.

  • Develop and implement market-based plans to launch and manage a novel product line in support of the division's overall strategy and goals.

  • Using knowledge and data-driven analysis of market needs, trends, and opportunities, create market segment-based strategies and tactics that translate into commercial success.

  • Manage coordination and communication with relevant stakeholders.

  • Maintain highly detailed tracking of competitive programs.

  • Represent team on preclinical and early clinical stage development teams and provide expert guidance on commercial and market considerations.

  • Closely collaborate with our Program Management and Finance teams to support detailed planning and budgeting.

  • Other projects as deemed appropriate.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 5 – 8 year’s product planning/marketing experience. Preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry with focus in oncology

  • Experience planning and executing commercial assessments based on primary and secondary research for pre-clinical and early clinical (P1-P2) assets

  • Successful track record in marketing, product management, business development or similar role required, including market segmentation, value proposition, program development and execution, design of high impact presentations

  • Strong customer focus; ability to understand customer needs and translate into effective marketing materials

  • Ability to multi-task/ prioritize and time management of daily activities.

  • Intermediate to advanced software skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project)

  • High attention to detail.

  • Demonstrates high level of accuracy and effective oral and written communication skills.

  • Flexibility within a rapidly changing environment.

  • Excellent ability to work in a goal and team-oriented setting.

  • Well-developed organizational skills and the ability to thrive under pressure.
