Cristina Buscaino Castillo has been working in the professional field since 1999. Cristina began their career as an International Insurance Underwriter at GEICO, where they implemented quality assurance and cost effective procedures, and maximized performance of the underwriting process by eliminating a 4-month backlog of policy processing. In 2005, they became a Math Tutor/Academic Assistant at Northern Virginia Community College, teaching students in all levels of mathematics through one-on-one and web interaction, and conducting classroom review sessions and training workshops. From 2007 to 2008, they had three internships, at GTCR Golder Rauner, LLC, Careerstone Group, LLC, and IBM. At GTCR Golder Rauner, LLC they provided quality executive assistant support to the Chief Financial Officer, Vice President of Human Capital, and various executive level officers. At Careerstone Group, LLC, they co-led a one day training workshop for team leaders and managers, and created online customer surveys. At IBM, they provided process improvements and customer cost avoidance for a large scale performance measurement system for the United States Postal Service. From 2009 to 2015, they were a Task Lead and Financial Analyst at ECS Federal, Inc., serving as a key business and financial analyst for all Functional Areas providing financial support on a highly recognized ACAT I DX rated MRAP Vehicle Program. Since 2018, they have been a Project Manager at Perspecta.
Cristina Buscaino Castillo attended George Mason University - School of Business from 2005 to 2007 and obtained a BS Management in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services.
