Vu Chu

Vu Chu has extensive work experience in software engineering. Vu currently works at Zentility as a Senior Software Engineer since October 2020. Prior to that, Vu was employed at Boston Capital from April 2016 to October 2020, where they worked as a Software Engineer. In this role, they primarily focused on the Authentication/Authorization stack of various products and integrated legacy web apps with AWS Cognito.

Vu also has experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer at Building Engines, Inc. from September 2015 to April 2016. During this time, they designed and implemented new features for the company's web product, introduced unit tests to the code base, and implemented service-oriented programming patterns.

From July 2012 to September 2015, Vu worked as a Software Engineer at PHT Corporation. In this position, their main contributions were on the REST API of the next generation backend. Vu utilized technologies such as Java 8, Spring MVC, Spring JPA, JSON, Spring Security, Hibernate, MyBatis, PostgresSQL, ActiveMQ, and Activity.

Prior to PHT Corporation, Vu had various roles as a Software Engineer CO-OP and Software Test Engineer CO-OP at PHT Corporation. During these roles, they worked on developing a data change request system, co-developed a SSO system for integration with a partner, and developed manual and automated Selenium test scripts.

Lastly, Vu worked as a Web Technology Specialist CO-OP at Harvard University from January 2008 to July 2008. In this role, they developed website components using PHP, MySQL, and JavaScript, and maintained websites by fixing defects.

Vu Chu earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Physics from Northeastern University, studying from 2005 to 2010.
