Gabriel Viera has a wealth of experience in compliance, risk management, and language instruction. In 2019, they began their role as Chief Compliance Officer at ZENUS BANK, where they lead the governance strategy, BSA Program, and the United Nations Responsible Banking initiative. From 2015-2019, they were Chief Compliance Officer at Activo International Bank, where they designed the compliance risk management framework and restructured the Bank Secrecy Act Program. Previously, they obtained a B.S in Interdisciplinary Sciences from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras in 2012. Gabriel has also attended the ABA Graduate School of Compliance Risk Management. In addition, they have obtained certifications from the FIBA (Florida International Bankers Association) for Correspondent Banking AML Certificate in March 2017, and from ACAMS for CAMS and CAMS-Audit in August 2016.
