Murugan Subbiah DVM, MS, PhD, DACVM, is a highly experienced principal scientist currently overseeing the development of molecular diagnostic controls at ZeptoMetrix. With a wealth of expertise in molecular biology and microbiology, Murugan has led the development and implementation of diagnostic assays at the Maryland Department of Health Laboratories and previously contributed to Next Generation Sequencing projects at the Pennsylvania Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory. An assistant research professor at the Paul G Allen School for Global Animal Health, Murugan conducted extensive research on antimicrobial resistance in Tanzania and its environmental drivers. Educational credentials include a PhD in Veterinary Science from Washington State University and degrees in Veterinary Preventive Medicine from Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University.
