Job description

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION: Provide technical support for testing and analysis activities USSOCOM RCIED, ECM, UxS and EOD systems. This position requires a TOP SECRET clearance to start.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Read, comprehend, and execute technical process specifications, procedures, and standards in accordance with vendor provided documentation.

  • Attend and participate in test design meetings, teleconferences or meetings as required.

  • Attend vendor provided training and/or read, comprehend, and execute technical process specifications, procedures, and standards in accordance with vendor provided documentation.

  • Attend any designated security, safety, or facilities training as required by the Government.

  • Design, build, and operate required test instrumentation for the test event.

  • Operate candidate hardware of a developmental, prototype, or critical nature.

  • Operate test facility vehicles, platforms, or man-carried systems as required.

  • Troubleshoot hardware or assemblies; check and modify systems or fixtures.

  • Install, operate, and maintain Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) associated with the test facility.

  • Assist in the development and preparation of system/vehicle configurations, designs, and specifications.

  • Implement employee health services processes and procedures; recognize safety hazards, including hazardous materials, and pursue corrective action when necessary.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, IT, or related technical field. Alternatively, more than ten years’ experience in electrical engineering or an IT field.
  • Knowledge or operational experience of C5ISR, ECM, UxS and EOD systems.
  • Knowledge of RF, Information Technology (IT), and cellular network fundamentals (Global System Mobile (GSM), Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA), Wideband CDMA (WCDMA), Long Term Evolution (LTE) or other Universal Mobile Telecommunications Service technologies.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe software products.
  • Proficiency of TMDE systems; multi-meters, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, power meters, etc.
  • More than five years’ experience performing testing and assessments of radio frequency, electronic countermeasure systems, and C5ISR systems.
  • Extensive familiarity with military terminology, concepts, and operations (prior military or contractor preferred).
  • Must be capable of lifting equipment to a height of 40” and, without assistance, carrying equipment (weighing up to 100 lbs.) up to 50 feet
