Dafni Sofiadi is a Principal Engineer at the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) within the Global Sustainability Center since February 2016, where responsibilities include representing ABS at the IACS Environmental Panel, coordinating studies on alternative fuels for the European Maritime Safety Agency, and supporting clients with sustainability services. Dafni's previous positions at ABS include Senior Engineer roles focused on energy efficiency and compliance, as well as Engineer roles that involved GHG rating improvements and vessel performance analysis. Currently serving as a Secondee at the Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller Center for Zero Carbon Shipping since November 2022, Dafni has prior experience at DNV as an Engineer specializing in hydrodynamics and stability. Dafni holds a Master of Engineering in Naval Architecture from the National Technical University of Athens and an MBA in Shipping from Alba Graduate Business School.
