Mira Bergem

Mira Bergem serves as the Public Affairs Manager at the Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller Center for Zero Carbon Shipping since May 2023, following a notable tenure at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark from January 2018 to May 2023. In the role of Senior Policy Advisor and Team Coordinator at the Permanent Mission of Denmark to the United Nations, Mira led significant initiatives, including the UN negotiations for the political declaration at the UN Ocean Conference 2022, and played a critical role in negotiating the annual energy resolution for the EU. Previous experience includes coordinating Denmark's participation in the UN High Level Dialogue on Energy and developing sustainable energy platforms. Mira's educational background includes a Master’s Degree in Political Science from Københavns Universitet, supplemented by professional learning experiences at Columbia University and New York University.
