CEO at Zerocopter

Erik Ploegmakers is the current CEO at Zerocopter. Prior to this, they were the General Manager Cybersecurity at NetScout Systems from October 2011 to May 2014. In this role, they were responsible for all commercial, operational and engineering processes of NetScout’s Cybersecurity division, based in the Netherlands.

Under Erik’s leadership, the team successfully expanded international accounts and grew at a double digit rate. Erik also oversaw a successful transition of all employees, customers and assets to new owner. In addition, Erik implemented Scrum methodology throughout the division and developed new services and products, expanding business to enterprise market. One of their most notable accomplishments was releasing the nGenius Forensic Intelligence appliance for fraud investigations within banks and other financial institutions.

Erik is a skilled leader with a proven track record of success in the cybersecurity industry. Erik is passionate about developing innovative products and services that help businesses stay safe from cyber threats.

Erik Ploegmakers has a Master of Laws (LLM) in Criminal Law / eLaw from Universiteit Leiden. Erik also has a Biology degree from Leiden University. Erik Ploegmakers' secondary education was from Visser 't Hooft Lyceum Leiden and Zijlwijkschool. Erik also has certification from EXIN in ITIL version 3 and from APM Group in PRINCE2.
