Chris Leskiw has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Before joining ZeroKey Inc., Leskiw was the CEO and Director of Research at Peekwave, a company they co-founded. Chris also served as the CEO and Director of Research at Project C, a research start-up that eventually evolved into Peekwave. During their time at these companies, Leskiw developed new analytical methods, conducted computer models and physical experiments, and wrote academic research papers.

Earlier in their career, Leskiw worked as a Software Principal at Halliburton, where they played a crucial role in converting research concepts into practical implementations. Chris also worked as the COO at Windsprint Technologies Inc., where they developed monitoring and control systems for the energy sector. Additionally, Leskiw worked as an IT Manager at Gushor Inc.

Leskiw's work experience also includes a role as a Research Engineer at the University of Calgary, where they accelerated reservoir simulations and researched resource recovery monitoring technologies. Chris co-developed a project plan and managed an IT and software team for a university-spawned start-up that was eventually acquired by Schlumberger.

Leskiw began their career at Nortel as a Hardware Design Engineer, where they designed and built sections of cellular transceivers. Chris also co-developed and patented Adaptive Baseband Predistortion.

Chris Leskiw obtained a Diploma in High School from Wisewood. Chris later pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Calgary, completing the program in 2015.
