Troels Schiermer Tophøj

Troels Schiermer Tophøj began their work experience in 2012 as a Software Engineer at QuantAds, where they worked until 2015. Troels then worked as a Software Engineer at QIAGEN from 2015 to 2016. In 2017, they served as a Software Engineer at Battea - Class Action Services and later as a Data Science Consultant at Maersk Growth. From 2018 to 2020, they were a Team Lead at Maersk Digital, where they built a team of software engineers and data scientists. Since 2020, they have been working at ZeroNorth, starting as a Data Team Lead and then progressing to roles such as Data Science Manager and VP of Data Engineering. In their role at ZeroNorth, Troels played a key role in building the Fuel Model team and creating a state-of-the-art machine learning model for predicting fuel consumption in ships, resulting in significant cost and CO2 savings for customers.

Troels Schiermer Tophøj earned a Master's degree in Computer Science from DTU - Technical University of Denmark from 2015 to 2018. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen from 2012 to 2015. Troels attended Frederiksberg Gymnasium from 2008 to 2011.
