Prior to their PhD, Brian worked as an Undergraduate Researcher at the Cyber Forensics Innovation Laboratory and the Georgia Tech Research Institute. At Praetorian, they served as a Security Engineer for three months in 2019.

In 2017, Brian worked as a Creative Technologist at Google's Creative Lab, where they developed machine learning signal processing algorithms for an internal project.

Currently, they are enrolled at Carnegie Mellon University, where they are working towards their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Computer Engineering, which they are expected to complete in the year 2025.
