Samuel Whitworth has a diverse work experience. From 2018 to 2022, they have been employed in a variety of roles. In 2018, they worked part-time at talkRADIO, shadowing and helping with the setup for the breakfast show, scouting and confirming guests, and researching and fact-checking for the show. In 2019, they worked as a freelance feature writer for TI Media, a production runner for ITV and Al Jazeera Media Network, an intern for Quicksilver Media Limited, an assistant producer at LBC for Global, a news reporter for Reach plc, and a producer for BFBS. In 2021, they completed a full-time 13-week coding bootcamp at Northcoders, focusing on industry best-practices and developing key skills such as test-driven development using Jest and Supertest, and version control using Git. Currently, they are employed as a Software Engineer at Zest.
Samuel Whitworth completed a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature (British and Commonwealth) from the University of Liverpool between 2013 and 2016. Samuel then went on to obtain a Master of Arts in Broadcast Journalism from City, University of London between 2018 and 2019. In October 2022, they obtained an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
