Yunyan Zhang

Yunyan (Jackie) Zhang has a diverse work experience, starting with their current position as Director of Data Science at Zest AI since August 2021. Prior to this role, they served as Lead Data Scientist and Senior Data Scientist at the same company from April 2021 to August 2021 and August 2018 to April 2021, respectively. Before joining Zest AI, they worked as a Data Scientist at Oracle from February 2016 to August 2018. Yunyan(Jackie) also gained experience as a Data Scientist Intern at American Express in June 2015. Furthermore, they completed a Capstone Project at General Electric (GE) in which they developed a prototype device to monitor and alert potential patients at risk of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) in 2014. Yunyan(Jackie) served as a Research Assistant at the University of Michigan Ross School of Business from September 2013 to March 2014. Additionally, they held the role of President at Shanghai Jiao Tong University Alumni Association, University of Michigan, and served as a Materials Intern at Cummins Inc. in 2013. Yunyan(Jackie) was also a Research Assistant at the University of Michigan from January 2013 to May 2013. Before that, they served as Vice President at the Student Union, Shanghai Jiao Tong University from August 2010 to August 2012. In 2012, they gained experience as an Analyst Intern at Bank of Shanghai.

Yunyan (Jackie) Zhang obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2014. Later, they pursued further education at the University of Michigan, where they completed a Bachelor's degree in Industrial and Operations Engineering in 2014 and a Master's degree in the same field in 2015.
