Alex comes to ZETA with ten years of public affairs experience developing messaging and building relationships with external stakeholders. He is particularly interested in developing clear and concise messaging around complex policy topics for audiences outside of the beltway. Most recently, Alex handled external communications for the American Apparel & Footwear Association (AAFA), where he served as the primary point of contact for members of the press and collaborated with the policy team to develop communications strategies on a variety of issues including trade policy, supply chain management, and brand protection. Prior to AAFA, Alex worked for a boutique marketing communications agency where he led media relations for a range of B2B and B2C clients. Alex holds a Masters of Public Policy degree from Georgetown University’s McCourt School of Public Policy, and a Bachelor’s in Communications from Mount St. Mary’s University.
