Marta Bleda Latorre

Marta Bleda Latorre has a strong background in bioinformatics and genomics. Marta is currently working as the Lead Bioinformatics Consultant at Zetta Genomics Ltd, a position they have held since December 2021. Prior to that, they spent four years at Genomics England as a Genomics Data Scientist from October 2017 to November 2021. Their work experience also includes a role as a Computational Biologist at the University of Cambridge from July 2014 to October 2017. Before that, they worked as a Bioinformatician at CIPF from July 2010 to June 2014, and as a Bioinformatician at the Unitat de Melanoma at Hospital Clínic de Barcelona from October 2009 to September 2010.

Marta Bleda Latorre began their education in 2004 by earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, with a focus on Genetics and Cell Biology, from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Marta then pursued further studies at Universitat Pompeu Fabra, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Bioinformatics for Health Sciences from 2009 to 2011. Marta Bleda Latorre's education culminated in their completion of a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biomedicine from Universitat Pompeu Fabra between 2011 and 2015.
