Sajjad Rahnama'I

Sajjad Rahnama'i is an accomplished urologist currently serving at Ziekenhuis Nij Smellinghe in Drachten, The Netherlands, since November 2023. In addition to clinical practice, Rahnama'i holds the position of Editor in Chief at Continence Reports, an open-access scientific journal initiated for ICS members and broader medical audiences since December 2021. As Chairman of the Society of Urological Research & Education (SURE) since October 2014, Rahnama'i has contributed significantly to medical education. Previous roles include Urologist at Elisabeth-TweeSteden Ziekenhuis, Curator of the European Museum of Urology, and Assistant Professor at Maastricht University. Rahnama'i's educational background comprises a PhD in Medicine from Universiteit Maastricht and medical degrees from University of Cologne and Maastricht University, complemented by early education at Limburgs Universitair Centrum and Rombouts College. Additionally, Rahnama'i engaged in local governance as a member of the city council in Heerlen.
