Richard Watts

Richard Watts has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Richard is currently the Chief Technology Officer at Zilliqa, a position they started in September 2022. Prior to this, Richard was an Advisor and Group CTO at BigPay | Challenge Banking from November 2018 to August 2022. Richard also worked as a Director and Founder & CTO at Kynesim Ltd, a company specializing in developing and consulting on hardware and software. Richard held these roles since November 2007. Additionally, Richard served as the Director of Studies in Computer Science at Selwyn College, Cambridge from June 2001. Richard also worked as a Software Consultant at Amino Communications Ltd from January 2006 to November 2007, and as a Software Consultant at SJ Consulting Ltd from September 2004 to January 2006. Richard's early work experience includes being a Product Manager at Transversal from October 2001 to October 2003, and a Research Assistant at the University of Cambridge from 1995 to 1997.

Richard Watts completed their education at the University of Cambridge. From 1992 to 1995, they pursued a degree in Computer Science and obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.). Richard furthered their academic journey at the same university, specializing in User interface design within the field of Computer Science. Richard earned their Ph.D. in 2001 after studying at the University of Cambridge from 1998 to 2001.
