Joe Topmiller

Joe Topmiller serves as Vice President and Chief Patent Counsel at Zimmer Biomet, a position held since October 2004, and has previously held roles such as Deputy Chief Patent Counsel, Associate Counsel, and Assistant Counsel within the same organization. Prior experience includes serving as an Associate at Covington & Burling from November 2000 to September 2004, and as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Arthur J. Gajarsa at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit from August 1999 to September 2000. Joe Topmiller earned a JD from Duke University School of Law and an MS in Mechanical Engineering from Duke University, both completed in 1999, and holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Dayton, obtained in 1996.
