Kin Wah Yew

Mr. Yew was appointed Deputy Managing Director in April 2018. He has more than 16 years’ experience in banking, where he held key positions in the areas of Treasury, Risk Management and Asset & Liability Management, before joining Singapore Power in 2004.

During his career at Singapore Power, Mr. Yew has been involved closely in M&A activities in Australia. He was the company’s Head of Group Treasury, and was instrumental in implementing the treasury risk management framework for Singapore Power’s Australia operations and setting up the SGSPAA bond issuance programme in 2009.

Prior to Mr. Yew’s appointment at Jemena and SGSPAA, he was the MD of Finance at Singapore Power, a position he took on in 2014. In that role, Mr Yew was responsible for Singapore Power Group’s Financial Reporting and Operations. This included the key portfolios of Statutory Reporting, Tax, Insurance, Settlements; and he established a Shared Service in financial operations. Two key projects in financing and operational process he implemented received industry awards.

Mr. Yew holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the National University of Singapore and a Master in Applied Finance from Macquarie University in Sydney.
