Upesh Jindal

Upesh Jindal has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Upesh is currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Zinier since July 2023.

Prior to this, Upesh worked at Phablecare where they held the position of Director of Technology from October 2021 to April 2023. During their tenure, they strategized, designed, developed, and delivered a hyperlocal medicine delivery SaaS platform within 2 quarters. Upesh also mentored team members to deliver outstanding user experience and leveraged AI to deliver stellar customer experience. Before their role as Director of Technology, they served as an Engineering Manager at Phablecare from October 2021 to March 2022.

From November 2020 to May 2021, Upesh was the Chief Technology Officer at YantraLive.com.

Prior to YantraLive.com, Upesh worked at Soroco as the Head of Solution Engineering from April 2020 to September 2020. Before that, they held the position of Client Solutions Manager at Soroco from January 2019 to April 2020.

From April 2017 to July 2018, Upesh worked as a Technical Program Manager/Integration Manager at Amdocs. In this role, they were responsible for identifying new business leads in Finance and Marketing areas and managing the business intelligence solution to ensure business clients receive the best value for investment. Upesh also strategized production validation of new functionality in data warehousing for quicker general availability.

Prior to their role as a Technical Program Manager/Integration Manager, they served as a Software Development Team Lead at Amdocs from April 2010 to March 2017. In this role, they managed delivery and support for the Amdocs Billing custom solutions for AT&T U-Verse sales & billing and Mobility. Upesh also established and maintained customer relationships in IT and Business organizations and ensured SLA and various KPIs met expectations.

At Amdocs, Upesh also held the position of Senior Subject Matter Expert from August 2006 to April 2010. In this role, they designed, developed, and maintained reusable components for the Amdocs Billing platform deployed at AT&T U-Verse and Mobility. Upesh collaborated with customer IT organization to minimize solution gaps during business requirements discussion sessions and worked closely with operations teams to proactively identify bottlenecks and implement solutions.

From 2005 to 2006, Upesh worked as a Senior Engineer at HFCL Infotel Ltd. (now Quadrant Televentures Ltd.), where they designed and developed the Customer Service Provisioning System for the consumer line of business. Upesh also implemented simulators and algorithms to maximize resource utilization on Huawei and Lucent switches.

From 2004 to 2005, Upesh served as an Engineer R&D at Quark Media House. Upesh designed and developed installer software components for various Quark desktop and server applications. Upesh also developed standard and reusable components to reduce development time in new releases and collaborated with Software Configuration Management to automate various builds.

Upesh started their career as an Engineer Trainee at HFCL Infotel Ltd. (now Quadrant Televentures Ltd.) from August 2003 to February 2004. In this role, they developed and enhanced in-house automated tools for switch operations, network management, and field operations teams. Upesh also developed fault monitoring system components.

Throughout their career, Upesh Jindal has demonstrated expertise in technology leadership, strategic planning, team management, and software development.

Upesh Jindal completed their Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Computer Engineering from Punjabi University in the years 1998 to 2002. Upesh then pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Business Administration and Management, General from the Texas McCombs School of Business from 2013 to 2015.

In terms of additional certifications, they obtained the following:

- In February 2016, Upesh Jindal received the ITIL V3 Foundation certification from AXELOS Global Best Practice.

- In November 2017, they earned the AWS Certified Solution Architect - Associate certification from Amazon Web Services.

- In April 2018, Upesh Jindal obtained three certifications: Scrum Master Accredited Certification (SMAC), Scrum Product Owner Accredited Certification (SPOAC), and Scaled Scrum Expert Accredited Certification. All three were awarded by the International Scrum Institute™.

- In May 2018, they obtained the Business Analyst certification from Udacity.

- Continuing their learning in machine learning, Upesh Jindal acquired three certifications from DeepLearning.AI: Supervised Machine Learning: Regression and Classification in April 2023, and Advanced Learning Algorithms and Unsupervised Learning in May 2023.
