Christopher Pawelczyk has worked in the field of education for over 14 years. Christopher started their career at Chicago Public Schools as an Assistant Principal in 2008, where they served until 2013. In 2013, they joined Zion Benton Township High School as the Principal and has been in that position since then. Recently, in 2022, Christopher Pawelczyk took on a new role as the Executive Director of Leadership Support & Strategic Planning at Zion-Benton Township High School District 126.

Christopher Pawelczyk completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies and Humanities from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign between 1990 and 1995. In 1995, they obtained a Secondary Teaching Certification in History and Science from Chicago State University. Between 1999 and 2004, they pursued a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, General from Governors State University. Lastly, from 2008 to 2016, they earned a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree in Urban Educational Leadership from the University of Illinois Chicago.
