Thomas E. Laursen

Thomas E. Laursen is Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Zions Bancorporation. He joined the company as General Counsel in 2004. Laursen began his legal career in 1984 with Sullivan & Cromwell in New York City, where he was a member of the firm’s banking and corporate practice groups for ten years. Thereafter he practiced with O'Conner Cavanagh in Tucson and Phoenix for five years and with Holme Roberts & Owen in Denver and London, England for five years. Laursen has substantial experience in banking, mergers and acquisitions, securities and corporate matters. He graduated from Columbia Law School with a J.D. and has a B.A. and M.A. from the University of Arizona.
