Jo Kiel

Jo Kiel, SPHR has a diverse and extensive work experience in various leadership roles. Starting in 2001, they served as the Vice President of Retail Operations at Financial Center, where they implemented strategies for sales, distribution, and call center teams. They also introduced innovative programs such as pairing High Deductible Health Plans with a Health Savings Account.

Continuing their career, Jo Kiel became the Vice President of Human Resources at Financial Center, leading the Human Resources and Enterprise Project Management teams. They acted as a culture architect, creating HR strategies, ensuring labor law compliance, and overseeing training, compensation, and diversity programs.

In 2014, Jo Kiel was promoted to the role of Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resource Officer, working closely with the CEO and other business units to optimize talent and support new strategies. They also served as the Chief Operating Officer, directing key business units and providing strategic input to the CEO and Board of Directors.

From 2018 to 2019, they worked as the Senior Vice President and Executive Director of Retail Banking at Salin Bank & Trust Company. In this role, they drove the strategic direction and policy administration for Retail Banking, including sales, operations, marketing, compliance, and regulatory oversight.

Currently, Jo Kiel is the Director of Human Resources at the Town of Zionsville. They develop and execute HR strategies, provide leadership in areas such as talent management, change management, and performance management. Their extensive experience demonstrates their expertise in developing comprehensive programs, fostering high-performance cultures, and executing strategic plans.

Jo Kiel, SPHR holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Indiana University. In addition to this degree, Jo Kiel also has several certifications, including Business Lending Certification, Year 1 from the Credit Union National Association, Certified Compliance Officer from the NAFCU (National Association of Federally-Insured Credit Unions), Life, Accident and Health License from the Indiana Department of Insurance, and SPHR (Senior Professional of Human Resources) from SHRM.
