Nathan Sloat

Nathan Sloat has a diverse work experience starting from their position as a Blue Waters Student Intern at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications in 2016, where they gained parallel programming skills and improved code organizational practices. Nathan then joined the University of Oklahoma as a Teaching Assistant and later worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant in the Schroeder Lab, developing a program for calculating RNA sequence structures and increasing their knowledge of Linux, C programming, and HPC. In 2017, they joined Paycom as a Software Engineer, where they contributed to the development of the company's business-critical calculation engine and worked on core development projects. Nathan gradually progressed to become a Software Engineering Lead, leading delivery teams and overseeing large-scale initiatives. Currently, Nathan is a Senior Software Engineer at Zip Co, utilizing their expertise in software development.

Nathan Sloat attended the University of Oklahoma from 2010 to 2017, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering.
