Bonaventure Mills-Dadson

Bonaventure Mills-Dadson has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Bonaventure currently serves as a Systems Reliability Engineer at Zipline since January 2021. Prior to this, from August 2016 to January 2021, they worked as a Senior Member of Technical Staff at SubCom. In this role, they performed reliability analysis, evaluated and designed qualification activities, conducted data-driven analysis for process improvement, and carried out failure mode analysis. Bonaventure achieved significant cost savings and improved reliability by evaluating and redesigning stress testing for semiconductor devices.

Before their time at SubCom, Bonaventure worked at the Mechanical Engineering Department of North Carolina A&T State University from August 2012 to May 2016. Here, they served as a Graduate Research Assistant, focusing on doctoral research in material failure characterization and Structural Health Monitoring. Bonaventure introduced a mechanism of failure of composite materials and characterized friction-related wear using acoustic emission detection. In addition, they worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, teaching undergraduate courses and designing an award-winning syllabus that emphasized creative engagement and effective assessment methods.

Bonaventure also has experience as a Research Assistant at The Brew-Hammond Energy Centre from August 2011 to June 2012. Here, they researched and authored a policy document on natural gas monetization options for Ghana and provided data collection packages for a Clean Development Mechanism Project in Nigeria.

Lastly, Bonaventure gained practical experience as a Summer Intern at the School of Trade Training, Ghana Air Force Base, from 2008 to 2010. During their time there, they trained in aircraft maintenance practices, including fuselage repair and avionics maintenance, and gained experience in machine work and standard machine tool operations.

Bonaventure Mills-Dadson began their education in 2007 at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Aerospace Engineering. Bonaventure completed their undergraduate education in 2011.

Afterwards, they went on to North Carolina A&T State University, where they pursued a higher degree. From 2012 to 2016, they worked towards a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Mechanical Engineering.

During their time at North Carolina A&T, Bonaventure also obtained a Six Sigma Green Belt certification in December 2015. This certification was provided by both North Carolina A&T State University and Boeing.
