Jacob Tewes is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in the fields of technology and aviation law. Currently serving as Senior Counsel for Sales and Partnerships at Zipline since June 2024, Jacob previously held the role of Senior Commercial Counsel at Skydio, focusing on legal operations, privacy, and data security. Jacob's academic contributions include positions as an adjunct lecturer at the University of Nebraska College of Law and the University of Nebraska at Omaha, teaching courses on Drone Law and Aviation Law, respectively. Prior roles include providing transactional legal services at Kutak Rock and working as an associate attorney at Johnson, Miner, Marlow, Woodward & Huff, where Jacob specialized in litigation and client counseling. Jacob holds an LL.M. in Space, Cybersecurity, and Telecommunications Law and a J.D. from the University of Nebraska College of Law, complemented by a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Valparaiso University.
