Kaitlyn Wagner, PhD, is a Principal Scientist at Zoetis Inc. since July 2021, specializing in the development and optimization of droplet digital polymerase chain reaction (ddPCR) technology for the high-throughput detection of SARS-CoV-2 viral RNA in human saliva samples. Previously, from August 2014 to July 2021, Kaitlyn served as a Postdoctoral Researcher and Director at Colorado State University, where responsibilities included establishing safety protocols for BSL-2+ labs, managing laboratory operations, and overseeing the testing of 500 to 2,000 saliva samples daily. Kaitlyn earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Microbiology and Immunology from Colorado State University, along with a Graduate Teaching Certificate, and holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
