Benjamin Mackenzie has worked in a variety of roles in the sports and technology industries. From 2016 to 2020, they held positions at The Football Association, Peterborough United Football Club, PAFOS FC LTD, and Peterborough Regional College, including Head of Physical Performance, Head of Performance, and Lecturer in Sport. In 2019, they held temporary contracts at B&M Installations, Agile Data Solutions, Ltd, and iGO4 as a Maintenance Assistant, Information Auditor, and Operations Finance Assistant, respectively. In 2020, they worked as an Apprentice Software Engineer at Microlise and a Consultant Sports Scientist at Scunthorpe United Football Club. Most recently, they have been employed as a Data Research Analyst at Zone7 since 2022.

Benjamin Mackenzie has a diverse educational background. Benjamin started their education in 2000, obtaining a BSc (Hons) in Science and Football from Liverpool John Moores University in 2003. From 2006 to 2013, they obtained an MSc in Exercise and Nutrition Science from the University of Chester. In 2019, they obtained an HNC in Full Stack Developer from Code Institute. In 2020, they obtained an HNC in Computer Software Engineering from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT. Benjamin is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science & Big Data Analytics from Wrexham Glyndŵr University, which they are expected to complete in 2024. In addition to their formal education, Benjamin has obtained a number of certifications from DataCamp, LinkedIn, and StayAhead Training Ltd, covering topics such as database fundamentals, enterprise architecture, machine learning, graphite and grafana, visio, C# development, angular testing and debugging, material design, PHP, Postman, TypeScript, critical thinking, and more.
