Qasim Amin

Qasim Amin has extensive experience in the field of user experience (UX) design, with a strong focus on applying Design Thinking methodologies to address complex business and user challenges. Qasim has held various roles throughout their career, beginning as a Freelance Animator at CTO 24/7 in 2009, followed by positions such as Visual Designer/Animator at A.Q.Interactive from 2008 to 2010, and as an Illustrator at Vantage in May 2010. Qasim then worked as a Graphics Designer at Channel 7 Communications Pvt Ltd from February to August 2010, where they played a crucial role in enhancing the company's services and delivering valuable results to clients through creative design and branding. Qasim also managed the product design process across multiple projects to ensure alignment with customer needs and business objectives. Qasim then worked as a Visual Art Teacher at Aitchison College from 2010 to 2013, developing comprehensive art curricula and managing graphics design projects for school events and publications. Qasim also worked as a Visual Art Teacher at Beaconhouse Group from August 2013 to July 2014, where they mentored students and managed graphics design projects. Qasim then transitioned to the role of a User Experience Designer at Maavra Technologies from November 2013 to August 2014, working closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and preferences, and designing for web and mobile platforms based on user research and testing. Following this, they served as a Senior User Experience Designer at INTECH Automation & Intelligence from August 2014 to September 2017, making significant contributions to project success through collaborative app design, creative design, and data visualization. Qasim then worked at Systems Limited from 2017 to 2023, initially as a UX/UI Advisory Designer from September 2017 to June 2019, then as a User Experience Consultant from June 2019 to February 2021, followed by a role as a Senior User Experience Consultant from February 2021 to January 2022, and finally, as a Principal UX Consultant from January 2022 to March 2023. In these roles, they spearheaded UX design using Design Thinking to solve complex business and user problems and provided leadership and consultancy to cross-functional teams. Qasim also collaborated with CX research teams to enhance user-centered design. Qasim'smost recent position is as a Principal UX Designer at Zones, LLC, where they continue to apply Design Thinking methodologies to spearhead pioneering UX design initiatives and offer expert UX leadership and consultancy to ensure the development of cohesive, user-focused solutions. Qasim also collaborates closely with CX research teams to gain deep insights into user needs and strengthen the foundation of user-centered design.

Qasim Amin obtained a Bachelor's degree in Multi Media Design from the Oriental College of Arts between 2002 and 2006. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications in areas such as UX design, strategic thinking, design thinking, and enterprise design thinking practitioner from various institutions like LinkedIn, IBM, and Trailhead by Salesforce, with the most recent certification earned in 2023.
