Sharlene du Toit

Sharlene Du Toit has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Sharlene currently holds the position of Chief Financial Officer at ZONIN1821 since June 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Consulting CFO/Controller and Financial Problem Solver at Your Part-Time Controller, LLC from September 2019 to June 2021.

From February 2017 to August 2019, they served as the Regional Head of Finance Americas, Director and Officer at Kuoni Tumlare. Before that, they were the Head of Finance Southern Africa at the same company from February 2015 to February 2017.

Sharlene also worked as a CFO at Go2Africa from June 2006 to January 2015. Sharlene has experience as a Regional Controller at Dole South Africa (Pty) Ltd from April 1999 to May 2006, and as a Senior Financial Analyst, Financial Reporting Analyst, and Stock and Cost Accountant at Brandhouse Beverages (Pty) Ltd from March 1993 to February 1999.

Sharlene began their career as a Bookkeeper/Accountant - Internship at Kei Carpets in January 1992. Prior to that, they gained volunteering experience at Kibutz Ein Gev from January 1987 to September 1987.

Sharlene Du Toit studied Business/Managerial Economics at Stellenbosch University and Tax Law/Taxation at UNISA, where they earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree. In 2002, they completed a QMS Internal Auditors course, ISO 9000:2000, with distinction at Bureau Veritas Quality International. In 2003, they partially completed the CIMA program, reaching the second year, at the Chartered Institute of Management Accounts in the UK. In 2012, they completed a course on Fundamentals of Project Management at UCT. Additionally, they took a Spanish for Beginners course at Cape Town International School of Languages in 1999.
