Manuela later got promoted from the Head of CRM position. Prior to this, they served as the Head of CRM, Referrals, and Loyalty Program at the same company.
Before joining Rocket Internet SE, Manuela held the position of Head of Marketing and Communications at Vola.ro, an online travel platform, from July 2014 to December 2016. Manuela was responsible for running some of the biggest online travel platforms in CEE.
Manuela's earlier work experience includes working as an Account Director at White Image - Loyalty Solutions from January 2012 to July 2014. Manuela managed marketing campaigns for a portfolio of strategic partners and led a team of accounts managers. Manuela also handled client relationships, coordinated resources, and ensured projects were completed within deadlines and budgets.
In 2008, Manuela co-founded ExpertImob, a real-estate online platform. Manuela successfully managed the company for three years before its exit, overseeing business strategy, marketing operations, and identifying new market opportunities.

Manuela Melinescu completed a Bachelor's Degree in Advertising and Communication at the University of Bucharest from 2004 to 2008, with 4 semesters at Stern-NYU. In 2017 and 2018, they attended The Wharton School, where they studied Viral Marketing and Gamification in Marketing, respectively.
