Eva Ayaro

African EDGE Fellow at Zoological Society of London

Eva Ayaro is a dedicated conservation professional with a diverse range of experience in wildlife conservation and community education. Currently serving as a Leventis African Biodiversity Fellow at the Interdisciplinary Centre for Conservation Science and a Berlin World Wild Conservation Scholar at Zoologischer Garten Berlin, Eva also holds the position of African EDGE Fellow with the Zoological Society of London and is a co-founder of the Women in Conservation Organization. Previously, experience includes roles as an Assistant Conservation Education Officer with ECOWICE, where responsibilities encompassed delivering conservation education and executing community conservation projects, and participation as a Women in The Field Trainee with the Grumeti Fund, focusing on field research and wildlife observation. Early experience involved data collection related to human-elephant conflict while working as a Field Officer at Nyamiruguyu Environmental Conservation Organization. Eva holds a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Science and Conservation from the University of Dar es Salaam.
