Gianluca Bassini

Gianluca Bassini has a diverse work experience in the field of data architecture and software engineering. Gianluca is currently serving as the Principal Big Data Architect and DataOps at zooplus since January 2022. Prior to this, Gianluca worked as a Data Architect and DataOps at zooplus from March 2019 to January 2022.

Before joining zooplus, Gianluca held prominent positions at various companies. Gianluca was the Head of Data Science at Spotahome from April 2018 to March 2019 and previously served as the Head of Data from September 2016 to April 2018. Gianluca also worked as a Data Architect at idealista.com from November 2013 to September 2016.

In addition, Gianluca has a background in software architecture. Gianluca worked as a Software Architect at TAPTAP Networks from June 2012 to November 2013 and at GMV from October 2011 to June 2012. Gianluca also gained experience as a Software Architect at mgMEDIA from January 2011 to August 2011 and at Bluarancio SPA from April 2005 to April 2007.

Gianluca's career began as a Software Engineer at TENEA TECNOLOGIAS from June 2007 to June 2008 and at Microgenesis from June 2008 to January 2011.

Gianluca Bassini attended Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna from 1996 to 2005, where they obtained a degree in Computer Science.
