Veli-Pekka Rönty has extensive work experience in various roles, primarily in the field of analytics and marketing. Veli-Pekka started their career as a Marketing Consultant at Sparecom Oy in 2006 and later worked as a Substitute Teacher at the Municipality of Haukipudas while financing their studies.
In 2009, they became a Tutor at the University of Oulu, providing orientation and guidance to new business students. Veli-Pekka also worked as a Marketing Designer at the Center of Sustainable Development and Oulu Adult High school in 2012, where they designed and implemented marketing strategies for non-profit organizations.
Veli-Pekka then joined zooplus in 2013 and held several positions, including Shop Manager Finland, Online Marketing Manager Finland, Digital Insights & Implementation Manager, Team Lead Digital Insights & Implementation, and Head of Digital Analytics & Commercial Insights. In these roles, they focused on data analysis, web analytics, marketing management, and team leadership.
Currently, Veli-Pekka is serving as the Director of Analytics at zooplus, where they oversee data ingestion product management and enables data-driven decision making. Throughout their career, they have gained proficiency in tools like Adobe Analytics and acquired skills in Python and SQL for in-depth data analysis.
Veli-Pekka also worked as a Thesis Worker at the Martti Ahtisaari Institute of Global Business and Economics, where they conducted research on customer perceived value in the context of MBA and eMBA programs. Veli-Pekka'svaluable results earned him an MAI grant from the Institute.
Veli-Pekka Rönty received a Master of Science degree in Economics and Business Administration from the Oulu Business School, University of Oulu, from 2007 to 2012.
