Maurice Claessens

Director, Vehicle Attribute and Function Integration at Zoox

Maurice Claessens is the current Director of Vehicle Attribute and Function Integration at Zoox. Prior to this, they were the Director of Vehicle Integration, Architecture, and Advanced Engineering at Qoros Auto from October 2011 to April 2017. Before that, they were an Engineering Group Manager for Noise & Vibration at General Motors Europe from October 2007 to November 2011. Claessens has also held the title of Manager Noise and Vibration (NVH) at Hyundai Motor Europe Technical Center GmbH from January 2006 to September 2007, and Quality Assurance Engineer at Audi of America from March 1997 to December 2005. Maurice received their PhD from Technische Universiteit Eindhoven in September 1992 and completed their thesis in September 1997.

Maurice Claessens has a Ph.D. in finite element modeling from Eindhoven University of Technology, a Master's Degree in mechanical engineering from the same school, and secondary school degrees from Anton van Duinkerken College Veldhoven and United World College of South East Asia Singapore.
