Tom Larson

Tom Larson is an experienced engineering manager and software engineer with a robust background in cloud storage, big data, and software development. Currently serving as the Engineering Manager at Zoox since January 2023, Tom leads a team focused on high-performance computing. Previously, Tom held engineering management roles at Lyft and Twitter, where responsibilities included providing secure cloud storage solutions and enhancing advertiser ROI through backend and frontend software development. Tom's early career at Facebook and Microsoft involved significant contributions to the Ads, Payments, and Exchange product lines, further complemented by foundational software engineering roles at Data General and Integrated Systems. Tom earned a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
