Tamaliyapo Mphande

Tamaliyapo Mphande is an experienced professional in nonprofit development and community engagement, currently serving as the Director of Advancement & Strategy and Director of Development at Zora's House since February 2022. With a mission focused on creating safe spaces for women of color, Mphande has cultivated meaningful relationships and supported leadership among diverse communities. Previous roles include Development Manager at Bridgeway Academy, where fundraising initiatives were implemented, and Events Director at the Ohio Environmental Council, where event management significantly increased fundraising efforts. Mphande's early experience includes work as a Youth Program Assistant at Ethiopian Tewahedo Social Services and a Youth Development Facilitator with the Peace Corps. Mphande holds a Bachelor of Arts in Geography from Miami University, complemented by minors in Communications and Global Perspectives on Sustainability.
