Sam Thomasson

Founder & CEO at Zounds

Sam Thomasson has a long history of working in the engineering and technology fields. Sam began their career in 1982 as an Engineer at Motorola. Sam then moved to VLSI Technologies, Inc. in 1989, where they worked as an Engineering Manager. In 1995, Sam was hired as an Engineering Manager at Medtronic. In 1998, they founded Acoustic Technologies, where they served as President and CEO. Here, they developed software and silicon solutions for the telecom industries, as well as excellent noise cancellation, echo cancellation, and voice activation technology. In 2005, Sam founded Zounds Hearing Inc. and served as both Founder and CEO. Zounds is an innovative hearing aid company that offers world-class performance in noise and prices their products at about half of the competition.

Sam Thomasson obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Phoenix between 1989 and 1991. Prior to that, they earned their Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Arizona State University between 1984 and 1988.
